Due to a Group of very persuasive danes holding me at gunpoint making a good case, we are in the process of planning a 4thIB Meetup in 2023!
Thankfully, Coronna and Lockdowns are finally over and we can actually go outside and touch grass again, hooray.

This Meet-Up is going to take place in Copenhagen from the 1st of September to the 3rd of September - The first weekend in September.
Thats right after Holiday season, so prices go down, and should still be warm enough to not just freeze our asses off.

We will be staying at the lovely Steelhousecopenhagen (It looks much nicer than the name suggests), for a nice 2 night stay so we have somewhere to retreat to.
Pricing is fairly managable with a 2 Day stay costing 60 Pound, they even have a Pool, a Cinema and a Gym.
This is a shared dorm room so make sure youre okay with that, if not youll need to look for your own accomodation

It's relatively central for the whole of the UK, and should give good access for everyone. There's multiple train stations to get to, with Liverpool Lime St having great services from London and the North. Manchester is 30 mins away and is a major airport for all our int'l guests.

I have finally got no errors and mods installed after about 6/7 hours or more but im looking to test they are working and familiarise myself with the buttons but when i try to connect to servers it takes ages on loading then puts me in the main game screen where i can select singleplayer editor Quickplay etc.  are none of the 3 servers running so i can check it out]]>

Initially, we will be looking at 1Troop consisting of 4x FV107 (3 men crew) supported by a section or 2, further down the line then a Platoon of FV107. As for 1 Group 617 Sqn 2x F-35 (C variant due to arma models out there) providing air superiority, iStar and CAS.
This has been in the planning stages for a few months starting right back at the grassroots of training, J3 deployment team, MI12 Zeus, etc and having current OPs on Saturday and Sunday.

Feel free to come and chat to me on teamspeak if you have ideas or questions. This will not happen overnight and there are still a few things to finish off and tweak but once again I'm asking for your support lol I hope to see it all come together very soon and expand upon what we currently have which is giving our members exciting, entertaining, well thought out deployments on a truly large scale. This is one of many steps that we are making in the unit to drive to a larger and more flexible milsim environment.

Now to lay it out the best we can and hopefully as realistic as we can get it here is our new orbat:

Applied a few weeks ago and was accepted. The minimum age was waived for me due to my young age of 16. Came back to find that they don't offer waivers anymore and had my application- unfortunately- denied. Can I ask what inspired the change to no waivers? Was looking forward to getting back involved with the milsim unit.

in support of Dismounted Infantry.Mortar fire can be used to suppress enemy positions until assaulting troops arrive within 200-300 m of the position. The mortar fire then lifts onto enemy counter attack and supporting positions while the assault goes in. The 81mm Mortar can also assist with smoke and illuminating rounds.
MFC is a forward observer over looking the Battle space  capable of calling and adjusting indirect fire 
CPO speaks directly with the MFC on the ground and gives Fire Orders to the Mortar line.

Javelin, the medium range anti-tank guided weapon replacement for Milan, is an enhanced version of the American weapon proven on operations in Iraq and Afghanistan by US forces.Although designed primarily to destroy tanks and light armoured vehicles, Javelin will also provide a potent, all-weather, day or night capability against fixed defences, such as bunkers and buildings.

The integrated sight allows the operator to acquire the target, lock-on, fire and 'forget'. This means that as soon as the missile is launched, the firer can acquire another target or move position. Javelin has a maximum range of 2500m, and overfly and direct attack modes of operation.

Javelin is a crew-served weapon operated by a firer and a controller/observer. The controller/observer commands the weapon and assists with loading, identifying targets and battlefield damage assessment.

On the other hand, mortars have the disadvantage of a relatively low rate of fire.
